What You Should Know About The Stimulus Plan
58What Happens Now?
There is no doubt that the American Recovery And Reinvestment Act is a massive document. The Stimulus Plan is 407 pages long. It is a contentious piece of legislation. No Republican in the House of Representatives touched this massive behemoth.

Because it is a such a long read I have put this together Just a snippt of the summery from the Speaker of the House website. Note: This summery paints a rosy picture of the Stimulus Plan. And the reason I do not sit here on my soap box and preach for or against this Bill, is purely political. I have scoured the interenet and find it difficult to find any one willing to look at this Bill with any degree of objectivity. Also, now that the American Recovery And Reinvestment Act has gone live you can see it's progress or lack there of. Here is the government site.
Here is the summery:

Now I seen a few moderate views on this Stimulus Bill. This guy calls himself the Courteous Navigator. He claims to be a out of work factory worker. His views are interesting, coming from someone that had been laid off. Yet, I note a degree of nativity, and somewhat mediocre writing. Yet, Some of it is passionate, as well.. You can view his site here.

Another writer,although conservative thinker, and is scathing on the subject of the Stimulus bill, he does make a few interesting points that are worth checking out. You can visit David coughlin at this site;
Update: On the mediareports about how one blogger, not only takes on the Stimulus Plan, but also blog it. Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, Steve Coll is currently blogging the Stimulus for the New Yorker. His first blog on March 2, is very readable running a little over 900 words.
Here is a snippet from his first blog.
"Even with all of its conventional aspects, this is a landmark law with quite a lot of the federal government and its codes of fiscal operation embedded within it. So let’s get walking down the marble-floored halls, which we can expect will be torn up, re-laid, and polished to a fine shine over the next few years."
Here, you have a sense, at least, that someone other then a person that is politically minded, is looking at this Stimulus bill with a eye toward the average person rather then a specific entity.
Please read this hub carefully, I am not out to persuade you one way or the other. Objectivity is not a dirty word. Thinking clearly can be conservatively liberating. Peace
