"Obama Problem" Solutions: Kill Or Coup?
55
We are a nation of sound bites. We react to them, not to well-reasoned arguments. It has proved successful for poor fact checkers like Glenn Beck and Michelle Malkin. And suddenly we have unusual high volume of crazy "Obama Problem" Solutions. The Facebook poll, which ask should President Obama be killed. Considering over seven hundred people took it, should be a disturbing sign. Let 's take John L.Perry piece at Newsmax.com: Obama Risks a Domestic Military 'Intervention.'
Apparently, Mr. Perry is savvy to how the military thinks of the president Obama. Although, remember that the military has the duty to up hold the Constitution. Has Perry read the Constitution? What is he saying? Not advocating a coup of this administration, but rather speculating that the Military would take care of the "Obama Problem?" What is disturbing here: the silly man says that there is a problem and it is the President. He puts a "bloodless coup in such a harmless and positive light, you wonder if, in fact, he is advocating it.
In an interview, Mr. Steele called columnist Tom Friedman a nutjob for spreading the idea that the climate in this country is similar to that in Israel in 1995 just before the assassination of their leader, Prime Minister Rabin. Oh really? Mr. Steele, have you read the kind and thoughtful sound bites of John L. Perry?
Update: As of Oct. 2, 2009: Happy ending? The Secret Service investigation of the Facebook Poll, and found that the responsible party has been identified as a juvenile. No charges have been filed.
Update on Newsmax: John L. Perry story had been "apparently" taken off the website. You can still see it on the link with n the story above. Talking Points Memo researched in the story of John L. Perry as Newsmax.com unsuccessfully tried to distance itself from the "blogger".

Ok, I disagree with this administration as I have with some others, but even I think this was uncalled for.
